Driving Directions

Life would be so easy if you could just plug the address of Layton House into Map Quest (or any of the other mapping sites) and get a perfect (well, almost) set of driving directions and a cute little map.  Well, you can't.  The Layton House is on a street that doesn't map. But here's a map that targets the next street over.   Map This Location

From Eufaula, AL and points north: 

• Travel south through Eufaula on US Hwy 431 about 7 miles (from center of Eufaula at Hwy 82), passing through the intersection with AL Hwy 131 and then passing The Alabama Country Club on your left.  Begin watching for signs for Hwy 95 south & White Oak Park.
• Turn left on AL Hwy 95 south.  Travel about 2 miles, crossing the bridge at White Oak Creek.
• Turn left onto the first street after the bridge (just before the Anchor Inn).  If you pass the driveway to the Anchor Inn, you missed the turn.
• Ours is the 2nd drive on the left.  You'll see a sign post marked with the house #.

From Dothan/Headland/Abbeville, AL and points south:

• Travel north on US Hwy 431 towards Eufaula.  (Mileage coming soon)  Before you get into Eufaula, there is a rest area on the left (southbound) side of the road.  Begin to watch for signs for AL Hwy 95 south and White Oak Park
• Turn right on Hwy 95 south.  (If you pass the Alabama Country Club on your right, you missed the turn by a lot!)  Travel about 2 miles and cross  the bridge at White Oak Creek.
• Turn left onto the first street after the bridge (just before the Anchor Inn).  If you pass the driveway to the Anchor Inn, you missed the turn.
• Ours is the 2nd drive on the left.  You'll see a sign post marked with the house #.
